Waltz-the most clasical of all ballroom dances. No other dance can provide the dreamy Cinderalla feeling of a pure romance in the way that a waltz can.
Foxtrot-the smoothest of the smooth dances. This light, lively, infatuating rhythm has been vocalized and harmonized by the best pipes that ever put their lips to a microphone. The music is timeless and will remain so, as long as lover can drift through a park on a Sunday or swoon and spoon at the local watering hole on Saturday nights.
TANGO/ARGENTINE TANGO-a dance of passion, excitement, love, anger, romance, and every other sensation between a man and woman. It requires the togetherness which reward us with so much more. This is a treatrical and eccentric dance.
Rumba-is undeniably the music of love. The sound is a treat to our sense, and its alluring rhythm transports us to a tropical world. Feel the wind and fire on your face while the melodies plays through your sould. Be seduced by this titillating music and virtually driven to a sensual dance.
Cha-Cha-enjoys a distrinction as one of the most dominant "pop" rhythms of the last 30-40 years. Movements of ribcage and shoulder isolations, along with lots of cut rhythm steps work right into this playful, sexy latin rhythms.
Mambo/Salsa- a brazillian dance with strong roots in African rhythms. The atmosphere evoked by samba music is always festive, somewhat primal, and often quite provocative. It is a dance with pure joy, high energy, and extraordinary color.
Samba-another Brazilian dance with swong roots in African rhythms. It's a celebration displaying pure joy. Once you master some of the characteristics of samba, it will quickly become one of your favorite dances.
Merengue- is by far the most versatile dance in the world. The rhythm is infectious and as natural to us as walking. Merengue is one of the easiest of the Latin American dances and uses very simple patterns.
Swing-the rhythm is infectious and as natural to us as our heartbeat. Swing has many forms of varieties that are enjoyed everywhere there is music. East Coast or triple swing numerous provides the best foundation from which the dancer can grow into swings's numerous varieties. West Coast swing is a laid-back, improvisational, smooth and sultry dance done to a wide variety of slower swing music. It is reconized by the distrinctive elastic look that results from it's casic leverage-compression technique of partner connection. It is danced on the blues, jazz, pop and country.
Hustle-it is as easy as walking tall and marching in place to a consistent cadence. The Hustle brought us back together again and now, as ballroom dancing is enthusiastically embraced on campuses througout our nation, interest in this great dance has been rekindled.
